New York and Vermont Teams Catch Limits at SAF State Championship

Two teams from Vermont and four teams from New York took part in the 2014 SAF Dual state Championship held on the St. Lawrence River and all six teams delivered a limit of Bass to the scales.

Brandon Wells and Ethan Johnson from St. Johnsbury Academy brought in 17.75lbs to top the VT side of the event. The big bag was anchored by a 4.30 lb. beauty that carried the duo to the win and a trip to the Northern Conference Regional Championship which will be held in Bethel Delaware later this fall.

On the New York Side Alec Morrison and Perry Marvin brought in the biggest sack of the day that tipped the scales at 21.60lbs to win the New York event and also qualify for the fall regional. The big bag was anchored by a 5.5lb St. Lawrence hog that allowed the team to edge out Michael Arndt and Ryan Hujar brought in a five bass limit that weighed in at 18.40 lbs. to finish second.

All the teams brought in nice limits of fish in the event that was hosted by the New York Bass Federation.
