The Central Texas High School Event Postponed

Update

Based on the current weather forecast calling for freezing rain, Friday night and into Saturday. With near freezing temperatures and winds out of the north at around 10 to 15 mph on Saturday, the CTHSTT tournament scheduled for Saturday the 28th on Lake Belton will be rescheduled. The safety of our anglers is and will always be our primary concern. We will update everyone, once a determination has been made as to the new date for the Lake Belton tournament. In the mean time we look forward to see you the following weekend, 8 March on Stillhouse Hollow Reservoir. Were we will once again be using the Stillhouse Hollow Marina ramps. And as always let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

The Central Texas High School Tournament Trail will be holding the 2nd of 4 qualifying events this Saturday the 28th of February.  Fishing Lake Belton in Central Texas will be a challenge to these young anglers. Not only is Lake Belton known for being a tough lake to fish, the weather this weekend is going to be a key factor in finding fish.  Area fishing reports has Lake Belton giving up some nice fish over the past couple weeks. Both Largemouth and Smallmouth bass in the 4 to 7 pound range have been reported being caught.  Low water levels and a water temperature in the mid 50’s has this angler predicting that fish will be in their pre-spawn pattern and it’s going to take a limit of fish to win this event. Good Luck to all these anglers this weekend.

Registration will begin at 6:00AM with an expected launch time of 7:00AM. The ramp will be the Arrowhead ramp which is located close to the dam in a protected cove. Weigh-In will be at 2:00PM
